“Joe handled his cancer
very well, all because of the wonderful Pediatric Oncology staff at Stony Brook. It was very hard to watch him go through his chemotherapy but I was always by his side. This experience has changed me so much. I never realized what other people were going through, how emotionally draining this is on their lives. As a parent, you try to be uplifting for your child while never letting them know how truly scared you are. I thank God my son is doing very well and his treatment is almost over.”
