Edward Chan M.D. and Marian Evinger, Ph.D. are two recent recipients of the Sunrise Fund’s Targeted Research Opportunity Grants. Their research focuses on causes of childhood cancer and may eventually lead to more effective treatments. |

| The Matthew Blend Fund was established by Tom and Lori Blend in memory of their son, Matthew, who had Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. The purpose of the fund is to help support the financial needs, not met by current sources, of the children and families, being treated by the Pediatric Oncology Program at Stony Brook University, with priority to those children undergoing bone marrow transplantation. | |
