1970’s

Michael A. Gonzalez, RPAC '73, was presented with the 2005 Distinguished Alumni Award by the School of Health Technology and Management during its annual Distinguished Alumni lecture series and award presentation on September 23, 2005.

 
1980’s

Frank Caruso, MPS, RPAC, '83, is serving in the capacity of Chief PA in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, where he provides clinical, administrative and educational services. Through FEMA, Frank is also employed by the Department of Homeland Security, where his expertise in disaster relief medicine has resulted in his deployment to various sites nationwide.

Audrey Levy, ’84, received a Juris Doctor degree from the Roger Williams University Ralph R. Papitto School of Law during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, 2005.

 
1990’s

Maureen Gaffney, RPAC, '97, was honored at the SHTM Eleventh Annual Distinguished Alumni lecture series and luncheon in September 2004. Gaffney, who is Chief Physician Assistant at Winthrop University Medical Center in Mineola, New York, was recognized for her outstanding clinical work and ongoing contributions to both the Stony Brook PA program and the profession.

Michael Dollard, RPAC, '98, has returned from Iraq after spending one year there in the capacity of medical officer for an infantry division. Upon his return, Dollard accepted a position at a community health center where he practices internal medicine. We are all grateful for his contribution as well as his safe return.
