EDIE LUNDGREN
Edie is a long time member of the School of Social Welfare community, arriving in 1972. In her tenure with the School, she has worked
throughout the entire program, including Admissions and Student Services, Dean’s Office, and Office of Field Instruction to name a
few. She is presently the Director of the Office of Leadership, Diversity, and International Conferences and Administrative Assistant for
the Doctoral Program. Edie has been responsible for overall administrative coordination of international and national conferences and
classes that have a particular emphasis on working with health issues, violence, and diverse ethnic, racial and cultural populations. One
of her primary responsibilities is the coordination of the annual conference on “Counseling and Treating People of Colour: An International
Perspective.” In its 21st year, this conference has been held in places such as Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Bermuda and
Alaska. Her responsibilities with the doctoral program are critical to the successful operation of the program. She is a primary
resource for students and faculty for information and referral. She is the administrative liaison to the Graduate School to ensure
that students comply with policies and procedures regarding their admission and educational experience. She has been and is an anchor
and historian of the School.
