Social Work in Mental Health and Haworth Press have announced the establishment of the Abraham Lurie Award for the most significant article published each year in the Journal.  This award honors the numerous contributions and exemplary career of Abraham Lurie, Ph.d., a member of the faculty of the School of Social Welfare at Stony Brook University.
