Invasive lobular carcinoma with in situ component, pleomorphic type
The site of invasion of this pleomorphic lobular carcinoma from its in situ origin can be seen at the top left hand corner. Adjacent lobular carcinoma in situ is characterized by distension of the lobules with a distinct population of tumor cells.
