There is no better way to teach surgical pathology than to use images. This digital atlas of gynecologic pathology is an extraordinary tool that can be used freely to teach students, residents, and pathologists.  Dr. Singh has been able to compile a wonderful collection of images that cover all aspects of gynecological pathology. This is a work in progress that needs to be commended. Dr. Singh's dedication to teaching is well reflected on her desire to provide all of us with an invaluable tool that can be used by all of us from the comfort of our office or home. It is a pleasure to recommend the use of these images to any person interested in learning and/or improving their skills in surgical pathology, as it is a pleasure to work with Dr. Singh and be inspired by her commitment to excellence.

This extensive site created by Dr Meenakshi Singh, an experienced gynecologic pathologist, offers a wealth of histologic images with brief annotations of many lesions of the female reproductive tract that would be very useful for medical students.  It provides an opportunity to match not only one image to a diagnosis, but several views at differing magnifications, so that one can appreciate the architecture and cytology of most abnormalities.  There are also sufficient images that one can see that heterogeneity exists within and among neoplasms and conditions that share a single name. Macroscopic images as well as clinical images are an added bonus!  I will recommend that medical students create a link to this site as they study reproductive medicine.

Medical educators are increasingly called upon to develop teaching materials which are interactive, multidisciplinary, and case-based.  One of the greatest challenges faced when developing such materials is the need for high quality images which can readily be integrated into the teaching material.  Identifying and securing these images requires considerable time and money.  As a consequence, images are not successfully integrated, and the cases themselves contain less depth than they might otherwise.  Educators hoping to make the most of their case based learning materials will therefore find this atlas an invaluable resource.  The contents are well organized, and the atlas easy to navigate, placing relevant material just a mouse-click away.  The pictures themselves are exceptionally clear.  The accompanying legends are both succinct and straightforward, so that both the teacher and the learners can readily grasp the most salient features of the accompanying images.  Many thanks to Dr. Singh for creating this atlas so that educators can devote their time to developing cases rather than to finding materials which can support those cases.

If ' a picture is worth a thousand words', then Dr Singh's digital atlas of gynecologic pathology is priceless!! This comprehensive atlas is indeed a visual treat. It encompasses almost the entire gamut of the lesions affecting the female genital tract. The atlas is well structured, user friendly and stands out in elegant simplicity. Navigation between the different categories is smooth sailing. The exceedingly high quality pictures are in multiple magnifications with short succinct legends highlighting only the salient points. The author's invitation to contributors is a very unique and generous gesture. Dr Singh's digital atlas will serve as an excellent training manual for pathology trainees and a quick and handy reference tool for practicing pathologists.

There are many things I like about the atlas. The outline format with the folder and subfolder organization is very helpful to keep track of the classification of a particular tumor and for quick reference. The pictures are both high quality in terms of lighting and focus and well composed with regard to the subject matter. Additionally, the photo captions are concise, yet represent the key diagnostic criteria. Overall, given the complete coverage of both benign and malignant diagnoses, the ease of the user interface, and high quality photos, I am confident that this will prove a useful reference to me and other surgical pathology fellows and residents.

I was very impressed by the high resolution pictures, both microscopic and gross. The legends----- point out the key morphology. It is such a big topic, and I was surprised that although it is a work in progress, it is already very inclusive. It is good to see that the benign and common pathologies are included rather than just the red herrings.
