Faculty & Staff

Ms. Thompson has worked at Stony Brook University since 1993. She has been a staff member within the School of Health Technology and Management since 2000. Ms. Thompson serves as an Academic Advisor for the Health Science Major as well as an Assistant Director for Recruitment and Assistant Director for Student Events for the School of Health Technology and Management.

Prior to joining the School of Health Technology and Management, Ms. Thompson served as the Scheduling and Special Events Manager for the Athletic Department and the Assistant Director for Student Activities for the Student Union and Activities Department. She is also involved in activities and committees that include student life development, open houses, homecomings, and faculty/staff/student retreats. Ms. Thompson is very committed to supporting and assisting students throughout their college experience.

Ms. Thompson is an alumna of Eastern Kentucky University where she received a bachelor's degree in recreation and a master's degree in sports administration. She obtained a second master's degree from C.W. Post in guidance counseling in 2000.
