- As a Regional Training Center and a NY/NJ AIDS Education and Training Center, many CPHE training courses are accepted towards meeting the continuing education training hours required by the Office of Continuing Medical Education, School of Medicine for CMEs and CMUs and for Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) for credentialing. These educational credits are free of charge. - As a local performance site for the NY/NJ AETC, CPHE is available to do on-site training that addresses the training needs of health care providers. Training consultants and staff are adept at developing and tailoring training presentations to meet the unique needs of each provider. The training format can be:
- Content driven role-play, case presentations, or more traditional formats.
- Preceptorships, which include clinical observations of patient care. To schedule an adult and/or pediatric HIV preceptorship call (631) 444-8292
- Clinical consultation, which involves interaction between a clinical consultant and clinical providers. Patient specific questions can be sent to these clinical consultants via telephone fax or conducted onsite.
