Prior to marrying and having children, Fran worked in Manhattan for Burlington Industries in their Market Research Department. Fran helped develop questionnaires and recruited participants in the research studies. Fran drew the statistical graphics from the findings and typed the reports, including the graphics (no computers to help). Fran also prepared comparison reports regarding specific divisions and competitors, including the comments made by customers.

In 1976, Fran became a “stay at home” mom, and, in 1982 she, her husband Mike and two daughters moved to Suffolk County. Fran worked part time, until both daughters were in school. Fran then worked at the Cenacle Prayer Enrollment office for 9 ½ years, helping to develop their computer system as well as entering information into the system. Fran left the Cenacle to work in the Master’s program at Stony Brook in 2001.

In the Master’s program, Fran takes calls from students as well as prospective students, answers questions, and helps them through all aspects of the program, from registration, orientation and graduation.
