Sabra Boughton earned her BS degree from C.W. Post College of Long Island University and an MA and an MNE from Columbia University. She received her PhD from LaSalle University. She is a registered professional nurse, a nurse practitioner in adult health, and a smoking cessation facilitator. Dr. Boughton is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Army Reserve.
Sabra has almost thirty years of nursing, critical care, and administration experience. For the past 18 years she has been the Patient Education Director at Stony Brook University Hospital. She has been inducted into the International Honor Society for Nursing. In addition to teaching for the School of Health Technology and Management, Dr. Boughton teaches for the School of Nursing and the School of Medicine.
