Fran Burke earned a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from The New School for Social Research and a Master’s degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources Management from the New York Institute of Technology. Professor Fran Burke started and developed The Way Back, Inc., a not-for-profit organization which provides community-based housing to mentally disabled men and women at 31 sites throughout Suffolk County. He currently serves as this agency’s Executive Director, a position he has held for more than 25 years. Professor Burke serves as a panel member for the New York State Commission on Quality Care’s Surrogate Decision Making Committee. He also serves as a Management Trustee of the Retirement Savings Plan for the RWDSWU Local 1102 in Westbury, NY. |
