The Advanced Certificate Program in Health Care Management is offered through the Department of Health Care Policy and Management in the School of Health Technology and Management. It is designed to meet the needs of working healthcare professionals who desire or require management training and education. The certificate program curriculum is comprised of a variety of courses, each with a management focus.
Students can apply to the certificate program while they are enrolled in the PA Post-Professional Masters Program. Students in the certificate program must complete six (6) courses from the list below. Each course is three credits. This is not a complete course listing and course offerings are subject to change. Since the courses Ethics and Health Care, and Contemporary Issues in Health Care Delivery are required courses in the PA Post-Professional Masters Program, students who have completed these courses are only required to complete four (4) additional health care management courses. These four (4) courses can be used as both elective courses for the PA Post-Professional Masters Program and Advanced Certificate Program. You can view the course offerings page to determine which courses are offered in upcoming semesters. If you plan to apply to this certificate program, you shoulld work closely with your advisor on course selection.
