Transportation
From New York City you can take the train to the Stony Brook stop which lets you off on campus. You would then take a free campus bus to the hospital. Directions by car: Take the Long Island Expressway east to exit 62 north (which is Nicholls Road). The University Hospital is 13 miles due north of LIE Exit 62 (Nicholl's Road). Remain on Nicholls Road and when you cross over route 347 you are going to the second traffic light and making a right (there will be signs for the Hospital and emergency room). At the next light make a left and go into the hospital parking garage. Walk into the main lobby of the hospital go towards the cafeteria. You will see escalators to the right of the entrance of the cafeteria. At this point you are on level 5 of the Health Sciences Center. Proceed down to level two via the escalators. You can also get to the university by using the Northern State, Southern State, Route 347, Route 25, Route 25A, Route 27 and route 27A.
