Current Research Interests:
- Community-based participatory research and partnerships across institutions
- Community health education, patient education, provider education and behavior change
- Health communication and message framing
- Translation of clinical research into practice (community-based and hospital-based)
- Integration of telehealth/e-health technologies into community life (including the training of lay health educators / community health workers, empowerment of women, and linkages between community-based human/social service providers with clinical/health service providers in primary and tertiary care facilities)
- Disease topics: cardiac rehabilitation access and utilization, especially among women and minorities; heart disease prevention among young adult women; cancer-related behavioral outcomes (treatment decision-making, recovery among pediatric oncology survivors)
