In the 1980’s, Ann pursued a corporate career in New York City. Upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Information Systems in 1989 from Pace University, she worked in a variety of professional settings doing graphics design and office management. Ann joined the Division of Rehabilitation Sciences in 2000.
As part of her many responsibilities, Ann organizes the staff, faculty and students in Rehabilitation Sciences during the many cycles of the school year – new student orientation, graduation, and admissions. Ann coordinates all of the admissions processes for the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs. In the day-to-day operation of both programs, she is the main student liaison to provide assistance for orientation, registration and financial aid issues. Ann has developed most of the databases and forms for classroom schedules, recordkeeping and statistical information necessary to keep information accurate, flowing and at the fingertips for both the Occupational and Physical Therapy programs.
In her free time, Ann enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark. A few of her hobbies are bicycling, gardening, traveling, and most importantly--sewing. Her great passion in life is making her sewing machine hum with activity. With these talents, she has worked with several ladies in the School of Health Technology and Management to sew Cancer Caps for Stony Brook University Hospital, sew blankets for donation to Katrina Hurricane victims, and crochet lap blankets for donation to the Long Island State Veterans Home residents.
