Physician Assistant Educational Program Development

  • Project Goal: Train 50 physician assistant students for medical practice; Increase deployment of PAs in underserved HPSAs/HMSAs; Enroll, retain, and graduate underrepresented minority in numbers proportional to their representation in the US population; Develop geriatric medicine and home health care curriculum; Develop health promotion/disease prevention curriculum; Refine and maintain currency of existing HIV/AIDs curriculum; Institute BSE/TSE Community Based Project; and Increase clinical and program faculty teaching and supervisory skills.
