Stancy Jana Joseph is a graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Stony Brook University, being co-supervised by Drs. Rigas and Rafailovich, from our School of Engineering. She obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from Cameron University in Oklahoma, where she worked on the “Optimization of energy and carbon source for silk/collagen copolymer production in Pichia pastoris” and on the “Expression of potential glycanases genes in Aspergillus nidulans utilizing different carbohydrate sources”. Her present work involves the development of an innovative drug delivery system based on nanotechnology utilizing novel polymers.
