Ongoing Studies
- An important recent line of investigation concerns the evaluation of of a series of novel anti-cancer compounds.
- We are pursuing mechanistic studies to understand the extraordinary effect of NO-NSAIDs in carcinogenesis, with particular emphasis on their role in the prevention of colon, pancreas and breast cancer.
- We are assessing the general effect of nitric oxide on carcinogenesis.
- In collaboration with scientists from our College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, we are developing a novel drug delivery system.
- Finally, as part of the same collaboration, we have completed the initial development of novel nanosensors for tumor markers.
