Project Description Clinicians work with schools administrators and staff to develop and
implement a comprehensive nutrition policy in the district. The scope of the program includes evaluation of the
school lunch program and the inclusion of nutrition lessons in the physical education curriculum.

Community Activities Provides workshops and training for food service staff and physical education staff.

Project Description Engages smokers in a process of becoming a nonsmoker incorporating group process
( support discussion about feelings of pleasure, control, and the meaning of smoking), education, behavior modification,
relaxation techniques, self-hypnosis, and inclusion of significant others.
Frequency/Timeline Four week session offered approximately every six weeks
Community Activities Program provides participants with ancillary community resources to help with
major obstacles to smoking cessation and maintenance of cessation (i.e., weight, anxiety, depression and lifestyle changes)
