We are an Academic Department of Family Medicine that holds as its "mission" the
high quality delivery, dissemination, continual evaluation and creation of
the principles of Family Medicine.
It is not a question of whether it will or not; it is a question of when.
When will the backlash of depersonalization of medical care place those concerned
with wellness, prevention and compassionate, contextual treatment of illness
in the driver's seat? And, it is a question of who will lead the academic
and clinical market. I believe our department, our school, has positioned
itself to be the leader.
