When calling Stony Brook, always identify yourself as an HSC student.
HSC = Health Sciences Center. You are not a west campus student. |
You are only eligible for financial aid if you are a full-time student. Any questions about financial aid should be directed to Glenda Mitchell (631-444-1866) Glenda.Mitchell@stonybrook.edu or Barbara Hazard (631-444-9663) Barbara.hazard@stonybrook.edu Glenda and Barbara work in the Office of Student Services here in the Health Sciences Center.
Students should immediately fill out the FAFSA form (you can also go online to get this: www.fafsa.ed.gov). This financial aid is for the Master’s portion ONLY. You cannot get federal loans for the cost of the internship. You must take out a private loan for the internship.
There is also the summer session loan application which is available through SOLAR. (Summer session loan application covers only the enrollment in the Master’s program; students must be enrolled in at least six or more credits.) This form is only for your first summer session (which is summer session II).
You will need to fill out FAFSA and this summer loan application again for the following summer (which is summer session I).
If you have questions regarding fees for the Master’s program, you can call the Bursar at 631-632-BILL or go to http://ws.cc.stonybrook.edu/bursar/
