Dr. Sussman is a product of a purebred Stony Brook education obtaining his BA ('92), MD ('96) and post-graduate training ('99) at our University. Subsequent to residency he joined a private practice in Rocky Point where he worked for three plus years. Simultaneously, Dr. Sussman was actively engaged in precepting the residents in the Family Practice Center and supervising medical students in his office. He left the private sector to join our full-time faculty in October 2002 and has assumed a vital role with our medical students and FP residents. Areas of clinical and research interest include screening and preventive services. In addition to his clinical and academic efforts, Dr. Sussman has been heavily engaged in the governance of his alma mater (x3) including sitting on the School of Medicine Committee and Admissions and School of Medicine Alumni Council.
