Evaluations
Each resident is evaluated on a monthly basis by the faculty and chief residents on the service that he/she just rotated on. These evaluations are sent to the resident through an electronic system to review after each month’s rotation. The evaluations provide the residents with feedback and assist them in identifying strengths and weaknesses in a consistent and timely manner. The evaluations are also reviewed with the resident by their faculty advisor as well as the residency program director.
The residents are also required to take the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) In-Training Exam. The exam is given on an annual basis. It gives the resident another method of self-assessment and an idea of how they stand up on a national level. |
