Ph.D. SUNY Stony Brook (1978).
Postdoctoral research – Cornell University Medical College (1978-1980).
Medical School – SUNY Buffalo (1980-1984).

Residency in Psychiatry – Johns Hopkins Hospital (1984-1988).

Treatment Specialties: Inpatient psychiatry, catatonia, affective disorders, psychotic illnesses, psychopharmacology, ECT.
Research Interests: Diagnosis and treatment of catatonia.
Diagnosis and treatment of neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
Clinical aspects of ECT.
Management of agitation.
Clinical phenomenology of delirium.
