The Associate Dean for Medical Affairs works with the clinical chairs to assure high quality, efficient clinical care and to provide an excellent teaching environment for students and residents.

• Promotes the clinical education programs to create an atmosphere that encourages faculty, residents and students to become lifetime learners.
• Coordinates the clinical programs of the University Medical Center and Clinical Departments of the School of Medicine.
• Coordinates the quality assurance program of the Medical Center to assure the highest standards of clinical care are achieved.
• Works within the administrative structure of University Medical Center as Medical Director and Associate Executive Director to assure the goals and missions of the Medical School and University Medical Center are congruent and that efforts are coordinated to achieve them.
