The School of Social Welfare is proud of the hard work our students put in, and it is an honor to have
every graduate. This month we would like to introduce to you our Alumni Board of Directors, and the Dean's
Advisory Committee.
Dean's Advisory Committee
The School of Social Welfare Dean's Advisory Committee was founded in 1999 by appointment of the Dean to
provide input on emerging external and community issues involving the School. Establishing a foundation
for a formal alumni program and expanding the School's presence in eastern Suffolk County are only two
of its accomplishments to date. The Dean's Advisory Committee meets quarterly.
Alumni Board of Directors
The founding members of the School of Social Welfare Alumni Board of Directors were elected to office by
the alumni membership in 2001. They provide guidance and administrative oversight to the School of Social
Welfare alumni chapter, which includes a membership program, events, and special membership privileges.
